Jared has been providing integrated marketing solutions to local and national clients in pretty much every industry out there since 1991.

Education

Jared entered the University of Minnesota, Duluth intending to become a mechanical engineer like his father. After he was put on academic probation his first quarter, he decided to pursue a marketing degree and subsequently earned a B.B.A. He went on to receive a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Colorado.

Proudest moment

Some of the most memorable events in Jared's life include the birth of daughter, Skylar, his marriage to Peggy, achieving Rider of the Year four times…and most importantly, proving to his father that there are respectable careers other than mechanical engineering.

Life before Risdall

Jared previously spent seven years at RMG. He comes most recently from Mullen, where he focused on new business and account management – leading the integrated work for Embarq and Wachovia. Prior to Mullen, he worked at Keystone Symposia, a Bill and Melinda Gates-supported organization, where he created a social network for scientists.

Tools of the trade

Jared believes in connecting brands with consumers in new and innovative ways. To do this, he utilizes his many years of integrated marketing experience to tie all of the components of RMG’s 12 divisions together for clients.

Beyond 9 to 5

Jared has been a semi-professional cyclist for the past 15 years, competing locally and nationally.

Trend spotting

When it comes to marketing, consumers are getting smarter and attracting attention is getting harder. In addition, with the recent surge of social media, consumers are beginning to trust their peers as much – if not more – than traditional advertising. To this end, many of the savviest brands are seeking to create brand evangelists to “spread the good word” about their products. Jared and the Risdall Integration Group intertwine social media across all of Risdall’s divisions to expand and enhance communication with clients’ key audiences.

A job well done

At Embarq, a leading telecommunications company, Jared managed all of their consumer interactive work. He also worked with Wachovia on their direct response television campaign, exceeding expected results. Additionally, Jared helped managed the redesign of the Fairview Health Services websites. And last, but certainly not least, through search engine optimization and public relations, Jared positioned a client on The Today Show.
